Quality Assurance

The aim is to do quality test analyses and correct observed shortcomings in the NorTwinCan data.
A scientific article will be produced with the following issues included:
- good descriptions (background, organization, size, administrative aspects, contact info etc.) of the participating Twin Registers in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden,
- quality evaluations (accuracy of linkage keys, completeness of follow-up for vital status, etc.),
- numbers of various cancers cases found among persons in the Twin Registers before and after baseline + estimates of annual addition,
- estimate population representativeness in the Twin Registers indirectly on the basis of SIR estimates (observed numbers of cancer vs. numbers expected; reference national general population); if some direct comparisons of socio-economic or life habits characters between the Twin Register cohorts and general populations are available, these data should also be utilized.
